Makeup Review: Bybi Babe Balm Bronze

It’s getting warmer, which means sun-kissed look time! The Babe Balm Bronze from Bybi promises to be a natural highlighting balm using a combination of the brand’s hero Babe Balm and sustainability sourced mica powder. This vegan and cruelty-free highlighter also contains calendula, shea butter, squalene, berry peel, and coenzyme Q10 for a luminous look that also nourishes, soothes, and hydrates the skin.

First off, I like the rose gold, copper tone as it suits my warm medium toned skin perfectly. I also like the creamy texture as I really like using cream makeup products. It just looks so natural on my face.

From the tub, the actual product looks hard but once you dip your finger on it, you’ll feel how soft it is. It’s easy to get the product on your finger and it’s balmy consistency makes it easy to apply. This is more of a subtle highlight for me and I like using it on my cheeks.

Since I have oily skin, the texture might make me look oilier so I get really strategic when applying this, only at the sides of the high points of my cheek and under my brows. Color-wise, the bronziness of this highlighter is more of an amplifier than complimentary on my skin. I like the effect though. Its subtle luminous shine is perfect for every day. Compared to stick highlighters out there, this is easier to manage and apply.

Cult Favorite: First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Bendy Avocado Concealer

I saw the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Bendy Avocado Concealer from Samantha Ravndahl and yes, I was influenced to try this. As someone who has dark circles under dry skin and the occasional dark spot under oily skin, I’m always on the search for a concealer that will be light, easy to use, and would work for both skin types and concerns

The #hellofab Bendy Avocado Concealer promises to be a full-coverage, buildable concealer that has a natural, luminous finish. It claims to stretch and bend with the skin’s movements throughout the day so it never cracks, creases, cakes or settles into fine lines. It contains avocado oil, vitamin e, and mushroom extracts to help hydrate, condition, and soothe while caffeine to diminish the appearance of undereye puffiness and dark circles.

I have the shade Medium and this #concealer is lightweight and easy to blend but packs a punch. It has a thin almost watery texture instead of the foundation-like and creamy consistency I usually get with most concealers. That was an instant like for me because it looks natural while slightly covering my dark spots and dark circles. First application provides medium coverage but can be buildable to achieve a fuller one.

It dries thinly on the skin and I literally do not feel like I have concealer on. What’s more, it doesn’t gather on the lines under my eyes and stays on for hours when I set it with powder. I get why people love this and I’m so happy to have gotten to try yet another concealer that works for my type of coverage and my type of laziness. This is my first First Aid Beauty product and I can’t wait to try more. Thank you @ssssamanthaa for opening my world to this.
