Fragrance Review: Clean Reserve Rain

Ending this slap of a week with the Clean Reserve fragrance in Rain.

This cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, and phthalate-free fragrance is a blend of bergamot, chilled cucumber, waterlily, patchouli, white flower, and vetiver. This has a musky scent that is blended with light and aquatic notes, easily creating a balance that you wish to replicate when it comes to organizing your thoughts. It brings the warmth that you can’t get from the confused of people you talk to at work and the freshness that my mind clearly needs. Basically, I was running on 50% battery the past week and this fragrance made things a little bit bearable.

When things and people fail you, you need the little things to make you smile – like a good smelling fragrance.

Fragrance Review: Tocca Florence Eau de Parfum and Bagno Profumato

Composed of bergamot, pear, gardenia, and blonde woods, the Florence scent from Tocca smells like cozy spring. Its scent is floral with a certain musk to it.

The Eau de Parfum, expectedly last the whole day. This has a powdery musk that makes it feel like a more sophisticated floral that sets it apart from my set of fragrances.

The Bagno Profumato smells a bit fresher than the fragrance. It has a thick consistency and the gel texture lathers beautifully on the skin. It leaves the skin moisturized and smooth.

Using both the body wash and fragrance together makes the scent lasts longer. I like using both when I need a pick me up.

Fragrance Review: Clean Reserve Sueded Oud

Neutrals this weekend featuring the Sueded Oud from Clean Reserve. This fragrance has a woodsy musk but has a floral musk underneath that blooms after a few hours of wear.

I love that it’s not overpowering that it makes other people look but it’s also not subtle enough to be ignored. I love to wear this at this time of the year as it suits the weather and smells cozy.

This fragrance is also cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, phthalate free, non-toxic, and comes in eco-conscious packaging.

Fragrance Review: Sana Jardin Revolution de Fleur

There are a lot of fragrance brands to choose from. However, not all have the mission of Sana Jardin.

The luxury perfume brand was founded by Amy, former social worker and fragrance enthusiast. She built Sana Jardin and positioned it as a vehicle for social change with the Beyond Sustainability Movement and started her own flower revolution.

The movement supports their female flower harvesters in Morocco, who handpick floral ingredients for Sana Jardin’s perfumes. They partnered with Nest, a non-profit, and piloted three micro-enterprises with female farmers. The farmers received mentorship and training on product pricing, brand development, and market analysis. The women are also the sole shareholders of the cooperative and they retain 100% of the proceeds from the products they sell, under their own brand called Annamaa. The fragrances from Sana Jardin are also #crueltyfree and are made without phthalates, artificial colorants, parabens, and formaldehydes.

The perfume they graciously sent me is the Revolution de Fleur inspired by a woman who loves to wander surrounded by tropical florals. The fragrance has notes of rose, frangipani, neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmine, vanilla bean extract, and sandalwood.

I’m trying to go out of my floral spectrum and decided to go a stronger route in terms of scent. At first spray, I easily detected the floral note with hints of sweetness but after a few seconds, the subtle powdery musk surfaces. It’s sweeter and stronger than most perfumes I go for but the name itself is the perfect description as to what I wanted – a floral revolution. I like wearing this if I have a big meeting or an important thing to do as the scent is empowering and lends a resilient mood. Also, it’s one of the longest lasting perfumes I have in my stash. It lasts for about six hours before I have to spritz again.

I really enjoyed this, both the scent and the brand’s mission of empowering women.
