Brand Overview: Peach & Lily

Dewy and Oily might sound the same for someone with oily skin but apparently not if you’re using Peach & Lily products.

The promise of glass skin with just one product seems impossible for me but the cult-favorite, the Glass Skin Refining Serum ($39) did it. It promises hydrated, calmed, brightened, firmed skin using peach extract, niacinamide, east asian mountain yam, madecassoside, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.

The lightness of this serum contrasts with the viscosity of its consistency but leaves a dewy finish to the skin. It feels gentle as well that I feel like anyone can use it. Dry and normal skin types can use this in the morning but for my oily skin, I like using this at night. The effects the morning after are dewiness and softness, a perfect base for makeup. It has honestly boosted my skin healthy. Not only does it brighten my skin, but this serum has also helped keep my skin looking healthy and plump.

I was so excited to try the serum that I didn’t really focus on the Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream ($40) at first. From the tub, it looks like it’s going to be too creamy and heavy for my oily skin. However, that it a great mistake on my part be because with touch, it just feels smooth fluffy. It turns slick once massaged onto the skin and leaves a glossy finish.

It should feel tacky, it really should, and even though it’s not as tacky the heavier and creamier moisturizers I’ve tried, it doesn’t dry matte either. It sorts of feels compact, like it’s sealing in all the products underneath and it leaves the skin feels silky. I enjoy this especially after physically exfoliating my skin. It contains matcha, cape lilac extract, niacinamide and adenosine to offer the skin with antioxidants while brightening and firming it. It feels deeply hydrating and has made my skin hydrated and plump.

As a love of acids, The Good Acids Pore Toner ($39) really called out to me. It promises to provide gentle daily exfoliation using a blend of AHA, salicylic acid, allantoin, and cape lilac, eggplant, and turmeric extracts to remove dead skin cells and clean pores while nourishing and calming the skin. This is really light and watery. It sinks into my oily skin so quickly, without leaving a tacky or dry finish. I have a lot of acids in my stash, which I use for specific concerns. This, though, is what I use for days when my skin is doing okay but I still want to be on my toes, making sure that my pores don’t get clogged.

The Wild Dew Treatment Essence ($39) uses lotus extract, niacinamide, yeast ferment, adenosine, bamboo extract, hyaluronic acid complex, and radish leaf extract to protect, brighten, hydrate, plump, firm, and nourish the skin. This feels so watery, almost like a hydrating toner, and it sinks in quickly into the skin. Aside from its fresh scent, what I like about this is how it feels so nourishing and hydrating to the skin. I like using this in the morning because of its consistency and texture and because it just leaves my skin feeling plump and looking radiant.

These products, in my opinion, are gentle and can support your existing routine while tackling hydration, brightening, pore concerns every day. Honestly, I just feel like my skin is loved using these products really thoughtfully-created products and that’s a difficult thing to do.
