Body Care: BeautyBio The Radiance | Body

After discovering how much comfortable I am with body oil, I have since preferred it over body creams. I have a few body oils in my stash and a few months ago, The Radiance | Body from BeautyBio was added to the lineup.

This body oil also acts as a hair oil and nail oil . It promises to rescue dry skin, lackluster hair, and brittle nails using a combination of jojoba, apricot, and olive oils to hydrate, protect, and nourish the skin. It smells like berries and feels light and smooth to the touch. It also feels moisturizing but it feels tacky afterward when applied directly to the skin, which surprised me. I have extremely dry skin on my legs and I was expecting this to sink in so quickly that I would have to apply it twice. It doesn’t completely dry and as a matter of preference, I like body oils that dry matte.

I prefer this as a nail oil and the dropper is really helpful in controlling the amount of product I need per application. It helps soften and moisturize the skin around my nails.

Brand Overview: NCLA Beauty Nail Lacquers, So Rich Cuticle Oil, and Lipsticks

First known for nail care, I received two of the vegan and cruelty-free nail lacquers ($16 each) from NCLA BeautyTutus & Traffic Violations, a pastel gray, and Tennis Anyone? A yellow pastel.

Not just providing color, they also sent the Deluxe Cuticle Oil Travel Set ($49) that contains the So Rich Vitamin E infused cuticle oil in Dark Almond, Peach Vanilla, Bubblegum Pop, Rose Petal, Saltwater, and Mermaid Tears to hydrate, nourish, and revitalize the cuticle and the nails.

This set has been very useful to me as my nails have been feeling a little dry and weak due to constant coloring. I have been applying this every night before slipping and my nails now look like they are regaining their strength. They are also not looking too dry anymore.

Aside from nail products, they also have lipsticks ($16 each) that have a semi-matte finish. They also contain castor oil, vitamin e, and vitamin c to nourish and prevent lips from drying. I got the colors Hidden Hills Hottie and Calabasas Queen. Both lipsticks a really pigmented but it would take a couple of coats to get a solid and even color across the lip. I like how they are not drying and they last through a few drinks. When used every day, I can comfortably drink my coffee and jug a lot of water. I only have to reapply after eating lunch.

Hidden Hills Hottie is a light nude cream. I usually go for a nude peach or a nude pink lip so having this light a nude for a #lipcolor is an adventure for me. I go for this if I’m doing a bold eye or a strong cheek color as this, at least on my lips, give a really high fashion nude look. Meanwhile, Calabasas Queen is a bold red lip that should be the main attraction of your look. This is strong and I like using this for nights out. I also like dabbing this lightly for a stronger but subdued lip color in the morning.

Skincare Review: Loli Beauty Pank Plum Elixir and Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil

As with the other Loli Beauty products I tried before fruity scents were just too hard to resist. Plus, the sleek, modern, and reusable packaging houses cruelty-free, vegan, and colorful oils just look nice on my vanity.

The Pank Plum Elixir ($52) contains a mix of plum kernel, passionfruit, hibiscus seed, safflower seed, pomegranate, alkanet root, bulgarian rose, and geranium essential oil to help restore, balance, brighten, calm, and hydrate the skin.

The mix of oils gives this soy-free and cold-pressed concoction a fresh scent that’s not too overpowering. The effect it leaves is great too, I’ve already noticed some pigmentation left by old blemishes fading. It also feels hydrating and calming to the skin. I also like using this at the ends of my hair when it’s looking dull to give it a boost.

Meanwhile, the Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil ($58) promises to restore collagen for healthy skin, luscious hair and strong, shiny nails using sea buckthorn berries wild harvested from the himalayan highlands. It refreshes and calms my skin overnight. I just need a bit of it at night to have my face feeling smooth and looking radiant the next day. I especially like using this on my nails because this helps it look healthy and shiny.

If you’re a fan of oils, these are a good option for you especially if your concerns are hyperpigmentation on the skin and dull hair and nails.
