Skincare and Makeup Review: Frank Body Lip Products

Just look at these gorgeous-looking lip products from Frank Body.

Their Lip Scrub ($14.95) smells exactly like the body scrub and it’s an easy way to exfoliate my lips. It contains coffee, sugar, cold-pressed macadamia oil, and beeswax so it smells and tastes so sweet before leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.

At night, I apply the Lip Balm ($11.95), which contains coffee arabica seed oil, vitamin e, coconut, and grapeseed oils, and lanolin to soothe, hydrate, and nourish the lips.

It’s similar to most lip balms but I like the packaging, specifically. It’s easy to carry around, especially when my lips are extremely dry. It dispenses products easily the texture and weight of the balm feel light.

For some color, the Taupe-Less And Cherry Bomb Lip & Cheek Tints ($11.95 each) uses lanolin, coconut oil, coffee seed oil, and honeycomb to moisturize and hydrate the lips while adding some tint. Taupe-Less has a nude tint while Cherry Bomb offers a wine-colored tint that looks fun. Both offer a slight sheen but it applies thinner than the lip balm, making it feel lightweight.

The Shimmer Lip Gloss can be used alone or as a topper to your matte lip color if you’re feeling celebratory. It has glow dust, coffee seed oil, grape seed oil, citrus extract, and lanolin to moisturize with an additional oomph to your look.

Skincare Review: Henné Organics Lip Serum, Luxury Lip Balm V2, Luxury Lip Tint

I’ve been reviewing a lot of lip balms recently but these lip care products from Henne Organics take the cake.

Their Lip Serum ($45) contains arctic cloudberry seed oil, lingonberry seed oil, rosehip oil, camellia oil, argan oil for silky smooth lips. The cult favorite Luxury Lip Balm V2 ($19) is an everyday balm that promises to nourish the lips with coconut oil, beeswax, avocado oil, shea butter, cocoa seed butter, and jojoba oil. For extra oomph, the Luxury Lip Tint ($21) in Azalea and is vibrant pink in color. It contains coconut oil, castor seed oil, jojoba seed oil, beeswax, avocado oil, and candelilla wax to moisturize and nourish the lips.

They’re ingredients fit so well with what my lips need – balmy but not too balmy, thin but incredibly moisturizing, lightweight but hardworking. All housed in a sleek metal black tube, these cruelty free lip products are compact, travel-friendly, and they look so luxe you’d be proud to use it in public.

The Luxury Lip Balm V2 and the Luxury Lip Tint, which can be easily removed by eating or drinking, feels like it seeps into the skin so despite being removed, it leaves my lips moisturized and soft. I have mentioned before that a lot of the balms I’ve tried are all moisturizing but these products, including the Lip Serum, were the only ones who were able to leave my lips soft and smooth for a long period of time.

After just a few weeks of use, I have noticed that my lips don’t get as dry anymore and they don’t look like it either. I have noticed fewer lines and my lips just don’t look soft and smooth, they feel like it too. I use the lip balm before I sleep, the lip serum under lip colors as it dries matte but offers the same moisture as the balm, and the lip tint for every day. I really love Azalea and have since incorporated it with my everyday makeup. I like combining it with berry lip shades, for that bitten effect. They are all just amazing and I regret not having found them earlier.

Brand Overview: Peripera

#peripera, the cute little sister of Clio, launched in @cvspharmacy last June and these are some of the products available.

The Milk Blur Pang Primers (I have the one in Banana Milk) moisturizes the skin with VITA COMPLEX10 (Vitamin B5, B7, B9, C, E, A, B1, B2, B3, and B4) and leaves a velvet finish. It blurs and smoothens areas with texture. It leaves a bit of a white cast so this would be best suited for fair skin tones. Because of the thick, creamy texture, this feels more like a moisturizer than a primer. What I liked most was that I thought it’s not going to work with my oily skin but it did. I still have an oily t-zone at the end of the day but it’s better than usual. I don’t look shiny at all and this didn’t make my makeup move.

The Oil Capture Pact is a powder in a cute little compact that blots the shine on your face and makes it look matte and soft. This helps mattify the skin but best suited to those who have fair skin as the powder applies a bit white.

The Ink Cara create a full eye look by lengthening the eyelashes. It has a curved brush to grab every single lash from corner to corner. The color of the mascara is exactly like its packaging. It’s auburn so I had to add a black mascara on top to tame it a bit. The curl of my lashes lasts all day whenever I use this. It clumps a bit but not spider eye levels, just enough to make the lashes defined and thick.

Peripera Ink Velvet Lip Tint is a long-lasting lip color that won’t leave your lips feeling heavy or sticky. I actually have this before and they are not kidding with the long-lasting part. It really lasts even after drinks. The formula was weird at first, a liquid that feels gel-like after some time. The color looks exactly the same from the applicator as well.

The Cushion Pang Lip Tint provides the lips with a glossy finish while nourishing them. This doesn’t feel sticky or heavy at all, something that for me set #kbeauty lip products apart from the others. It is not long lasting but because of the cushion applicator, it’s fun to touch-up. It applies milky but doesn’t feel creamy. It almost feels like a light balm. It looks bright pink on the cushion but appears light on my lips. The cushion makes it’s easy to apply, even in the corners.
