Skincare Review: Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème

Another product that helped brighten my skin in this warm weather is the C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème from Ole Henriksen.

This moisturizer aims to delivers 24-hour hydration while it brightens, firms, improves concealer wear, and targets fine lines and wrinkles through three sources of vitamin C and Rose of Winter. This product does not contain parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.

To be honest, I don’t drink orange juice or eat oranges. I am just not a fan of the smell. Thankfully, the fragrance of this one, which resembles that of an orange jelly bean, doesn’t last for more than 30 seconds. It has a watery velvet texture and has a peachy color. Upon first application, I instantly liked how it felt on my skin. It’s light, fast-absorbing, and easy to apply. I also love the way my skin feels right after application – silky and dewy. My skin felt moisturized and hydrated, like my skin just drank everything in.

Whether applied at night or in the morning, this provides enough moisture in my skin. When used as a morning moosturizer, its velvety finish blends well with makeup. In warmer days though, it makes my t-zone oily after about 6 hours. Not as oily without moisturizer and during colder days, this didn’t make my skin feel rough and dehydrated. After about three weeks of use, this made my skin bright, plump, and soft. I just like how this feels on my skin and how it makes my skin feel.
