Skincare Review: Taila Skincare Muhka, Vayu, and Nayana

Cruelty- free and sustainably sourced, Taila Skincare blends Ayurvedic ingredients and processes with today’s technological advances in skincare to create luxury skincare products.

The Muhka Botanical Cleanser ($58) was gentle and not so greasy that it is able to freshen up my skin after rinsing. When a little amount of water is applied over, it forms a light lather so you can feel your skin is getting cleaned.

It also feels nourishing making it a joy to apply. This cleansing oil has turmeric, papaya, castor oil, and lavender to help soothe, soften, and refine the skin. Evidently, after rinsing, it was able to remove all makeup, even the long-lasting ones. However, I have to rinse twice to be able to remove the thin film this leaves on the skin.

After cleansing, I tone with the Vayu Illuminating Toning Mist ($55). It instantly makes my skin feel soft and refreshed. It contains holy basil, rose, cucumber, and aloe to soothe and refresh while neutralizing environmental stressors. I thought this face mist would have a gentle floral scent but the hint of was a welcome surprise. I also like how the mist just sinks into the skin and has a firming sensation.

The Nayana Revitalizing Eye Balm ($88) uses manjishta (Indian madder), ashwagandha (rennet), brahmi (waterhyssop), and meadowfoam seed oil to reduce dark circles, trigger collagen and elastin production and cell regeneration, and to lock in moisture.

Even though I have yet to see its effects on my dark circles, this eye balm is extremely moisturizing. It also helps with the puffiness of my dry eye area.
