Makeup Review: Trestique Highlight Stick in Maldives Luminescent, Sugar Polish + Plumping Lip Balm in Barbados Berry, and Lip Glaze Crayon in Paris Pink

This trip to Bali has had me a bi dependent on the new goodies Trestique sent over a few weeks ago.

My overall glow was amplified by the Highlight Stick ($28) in Maldives Luminescent. This a creamy formula, which contains coconut oil, easily glides on the skin. It has a sheen that can be buildable depending on the wattage you want to shine. I’ve put this on the top of my cheeks, nose, and lips for a subtle glow. It like applying this highlighter with my fingers as its soft texture is easy to control.

I’ve really been enjoying lip balms lately so I always reach for the Sugar Polish + Plumping Lip Balm ($25). The Sugar Polish lip scrub softens the lips but what‘s getting a lot of use is the Plumping Balm, which used marine collagen microspheres and organic shea butter to plump and moisturize the lips. The lip balm equally moisturizes and colors the lips so this is really a one and done product for me. I put this on and get subtle plumpness, adequate moisture, and intense color. I have the Barbados Berry shade and this looks like a cherry-colored tint that has a slight sheen and it just brightens up my face. The soft formula is a joy to apply and the big tube actually helps prevent applying over the lip lines.

Lastly, the Lip Glaze Crayon ($25) has a primer on one side and a stained gloss, which contains cocoa butter, coconut oil, and peach oil, on the other to smooth, hydrate, and provide a shine on the lips. The primer, I don’t really use but it’s good to support my extremely matte lip colors. For the lipgloss, I have the shade Paris Pink, which actually applies a bit transparent on me so I like using it on top of my lip color, usually on top of the Plumping Balm. It has a bit of slip to it and Lip Glaze is such an appropriate name because it does look like I just ate a glazed doughnut whenever I apply this. Since I’ve been walking around a beach town the past few days, I like using this whenever I want to add to the glowy look I’ve been rocking.
