Cult Favorite: Drunk Elephant Lala Retro

Just showing off the texture of the new Lala Retro from Drunk Elephant. It now has ceramides, in addition to its african oil blend (marula, mongongo, baobab, kalahari melon, ximenia, and passion fruit), this vegan and cruelty-free moisturizer also contains phytosphingosine, ferment oil green tea seed, and sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer to protect, balance, moisturize, and hydrate the skin while replenishing the skin barrier support.

My skin loves ceramides so I was excited to try this. I haven’t tried to old Lala Retro because I thought it would be too heavy for my skin and I was right. This new version kind of sits on top of the skin at first even though it applies softly. However, it sinks in and even though it leaves a tacky finish, it feels packed with hydrators which my skin really needs. I like applying this at night on days when my skin needs moisture or after using a strong exfoliant as this feels soothing and hydrating to the skin.

The Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream was provided by @drunkelephant. Available for $60 at
