Haircare Review: Love Hair

I have repeatedly written here that my hair is more sensitive than my skin. It can go from stringy to greasy with one wrong move or one strong wind so, I’m always on the lookout for hair products that can help manage my tresses.

Love Hair products are organic, vegan, and cruelty-free and promise to give you a good hair day using pure, nourishing ingredients.

The Revitalizing Shampoo ($28) aims to clarify, add shine, and tame the hair using organic apple cider vinegar, quinoa protein, jojoba protein, organic aloe vera juice, organic virgin coconut oil, and organic pracaxi oil. On the other hand, the Nourishing Conditioner ($30) helps fight frizz and breakage while infusing moisture with orange and tangerine peel oil complex, organic shea butter, organic aloe vera juice, organic virgin coconut oil, organic jojoba oil, and organic pracaxi oil. Both products also do not contain parabens, sulfates, or synthetic fragrances.

Best used together, these leaping bunny certified products have a sweet but subtle scent and provides the hair with clarifying benefits. I used the conditioner every day because it doesn’t leave my hair limp or greasy while I use the shampoo after days when I have used products on my hair or days when they undergo styling. These might be great for those who are looking to restart their strands and those who have oily scalp as I find that this prevents my scalp and my hair from getting greasy. It also performs well in removing buildup on my hair. However, when my hair decides to act crunch and stringy, I reach for a more moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I also go for this hair mask.

A favorite, the Nourishing Treatment Mask ($40), which contains organic oils like lavender, pracaxi, and jojoba to hydrate and fortify the strands. It also contains quinoa protein, organic shea butter, organic aloe vera juice, and organic virgin coconut oil to moisturize, condition, soften, smooth, and strengthen the hair.

This hair mask is part of my weekend selfcare routine. It just provides immediate softening and smoothing. My scalp also feels nourished and hydrated, which is what I need after putting my hair on too much sun and pollution exposure during the week. What I like about this hair mask, specifically, is that it doesn’t feel heavy on the hair. It just provides enough moisture and conditioning and the effects last for days. It gives my hair enough volume with making them look frizzy, shine without leaving it greasy, and smooth without looking limp.
