Even if the weather’s getting warmer, I’m drawn to skin-like finishes whenever I do my makeup. Those with oily skin would know this is a bit difficult to achieve without looking really oily in the afternoon so I’m always on the lookout for products that would help me achieve that.
The Banana Bright Face Primer from Ole Henriksen promises to brighten, improve and extend makeup wear, blur imperfection, and hydrate the skin for a dewy, healthy-looking glow. It contains vitamin c to target visible signs of aging, banana powder-inspired pigments to illuminate, and vitamin e to nourish and condition the skin. It’s also formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.
Based from its claim, I really have high expectations on this face primer because it has the ingredients to brighten my skin while keeping the oil at bay. It honestly feels so different from the other primers that I have. It doesn’t have that silicone feel and grip. It almost feels like a lightweight serum making it a joy to apply in the morning. True to its claim, it brightens the skin and leaves it looking glowing and healthy. It perfectly suits the radiant-finish foundations that I have. However, it doesn’t have a long-lasting power, at least on the hydration part as I will still be a bit shiny when the workday ends. I still like this, though, because there is no product in my stash that can make me look as radiant and glowing as this one.
