Skincare Review: Bliss Rose Gold Rescue

As a flower lover, I always get excited with flower-infused skincare. The Rose Gold Rescue collection from Bliss has a rose geranium scent and is infused with rose water and colloidal gold to soothe and calm sensitive skin while providing extra care to not cause further irritation. They also do not contain parabens, phthalates, sulfates, DMDM hydantoin, urea, petrolatum, mineral oil, DEA/TEA/MEA/ETA, and formaldehyde.

The Gentle Foaming Cleanser ($13) promises to be a gentle foaming cleanser that removes dirt, makeup, and excess oil without over-drying the skin using willow bark extract and rose gold shimmer. I can smell the rose but what’s more prominent in this #facecleanser is the citrusy scent. It has a gel texture but it easily lathers once mixed with some water. The cleanser has a bit of weight to it so you can feel its cleansing benefits as you massage it to your skin. It doesn’t leave a film or any residue, it just leaves the skin to cleanse, soft, and smooth afterward.

To soothe the skin anytime and anywhere, the Soothing Toner Mist ($12) can be used as a #facetoner or as a #facemist to soothe and refresh the skin. It contains alpine rose stem cell to limit water loss and protect skin against environmental stress, witch hazel to soothe, chamomile extract to fight and blocks out irritants, and willow herb extract to calm the skin. I was intrigued by the spray on this one because it sort of has a stopper to prevent me from spraying too much. It gives off a really fine mist, so fine that you won’t even hear it, and leaves the skin feeling refreshed. I like using this after using actives and/or my acids as this really feels soothing.

To nourish, restore, and moisturize the skin, the Gentle Moisture Cream ($21) uses alpine rose stem cells, german chamomile, and jojoba oil. This #moisturizer has a thick consistency and whipped texture. It’s almost like fresh icing but heavier. It glides smoothly on the skin though and has a cooling effect, which I really enjoy. It leaves the skin a bit wet and slick for a few minutes before settling into a silky finish. With this texture, I only use it at night as it would be too heavy for my oily skin in the morning. However, I like slathering this on my skin after exfoliating as this locks in every serum and exfoliator I used without me waking up with an oily face.

This is my first time trying Bliss products and I’m really impressed with the Rose Gold Rescue Collection. I feel like the cleanser suits my skin perfectly and the toner and moisture work hand in hand to soothe, nourish, and moisturize the skin.
