Skincare Review: Farmacy Beauty Honey Grail

New to the Farmacy Beauty family is Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil, which promises hydration and glow. Its hero ingredient, the brand’s own proprietary buckwheat honey, is blended with sea buckthorn, hibiscus oil, rosehip oil, evening primrose oil, crambe oil, and sunflower oil to also revitalize the skin and help smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

First off, I am not a fan of face oil. I have a view in my stash that I reach if I need to shorten my skincare routine. I just personally do not like products sitting on top of my skin, which is usually the face if I use face oils as a replacement for my moisturizer. The Honey Grail doesn’t look like oil. The dropper dispenses a honey-like viscous product that looks like a heavy serum. I rub it on my palms before patting them on my face. The smell is something to note though, as it doesn’t smell sweet. It does smell like some of the raw honey I’ve smelled when I was a kid. It doesn’t last long so it shouldn’t be a problem.

It does offer the glow it promises immediately as well as hydration. I have been trying this for a few weeks now and this does not aggravate my oily skin. I don’t wake up with a shiny face, just bouncy and soft skin. A thing to note, though, this contains coconut oil and even though it didn’t cause me any irritation, many or a lot of you might experience it.

Personally, I still prefer using my Honey Drop instead of this one as it doesn’t feel tacky and it doesn’t sit on top of my skin.
