With witty product names and too cute packaging, m Go-To Skincare grabbed people’s attention. They claim, however, that there’s more than what the names and the photos provide. The natural and cruelty-free beauty products they provide also promises to provide effortless yet effective solutions to keep the skin happy and healthy.
A foaming cleanser, Properly Clean ($31) contains new zealand rainwater, sodium cocoamphoacetate, lauryl glucoside, sodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium lauryl glucose carboxylate, sodium chloride, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, citric acid, and willowbark extract to reduce moisture loss, condition, clear pores, and shed dead skin cells. This a gentle foaming facial wash that cleanses the skin without stripping it from natural oils. As with most cleansing foams, I like using this in the morning as it’s not drying or stripping. It just provides mild cleansing to them. To be honest, I cannot set this apart from the other foaming cleanser I’ve tried save for the fact that this feels really gentle.
The Face Hero ($45) features 10 botanical and nut oils that promise to provide vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids to nourish, lighten dark spots, fine lines and other signs of aging. This product absorbs nicely into my skin and has a very lightweight feel with absolutely no greasy feeling. It feels really nourishing, especially after exfoliating. After a month of use, I was also able to notice the lightening of dark spots and some hyperpigmentation. I would definitely recommend this product for its nourishing and brightening benefits.
As the last step every night, I like putting on a lipbalm. Lips! ($15) contains lanolin to heal, moisturize, and sooth. It also has shea butter, apricot kernel oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, evening primrose oil, vitamin e, pomegranate seed oil, calendula oil, jojoba oil, and avocado oil to moisturize, soften, nourish, hydrate, soothe, and calm the skin. This balm has a heavy oily texture that’s easily removed by water. I had the flu recently and unfortunately, this didn’t help that much. It easily dries and only provides so little moisture and hydration. Unfortunately, I had to use another balm that offered more moisture and hydration to heal my lips. It performed better when my lips aren’t so chapped anymore. It’s a good everyday option to prevent dryness and chapping.
