Skincare Review: Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster, 10% Niacinamide Booster, and Hyaluronic Acid Booster

These Boosters from Paula’s Choice honestly came at the right time. My skin is behaving well but there are skin scars that need lightening, texture that needs softening, and, of course, skin that needs hydrating. I have been using these babies for two and a half months and here’s what happened.

The C15 Super Booster ($49) targets red or brown marks, wrinkles, visible loss of firmness using 15% vitamin c. It also aims to improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, brighten dull complexion, and ward off environmental stressors.

It has lightweight watery texture mix with a bit of oil, which suited me fine. It has just the right amount of oiliness to not feel sticky. It also sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel oily at all. I really like using it in the morning because of that. It doesn’t get in the way of my makeup application and doesn’t aggravate the oiliness of my skin. This has become a new favorite for me honestly. My skin reacts faster to vitamin c and this has evenly brightened my skin and lightened my dark spots in about a month of use.

The 10% Niacinamide Booster ($44) promises to minimize the appearance of pore size and improve uneven skin tone, improve visible signs of aging, such as uneven skin tone, lack of radiance, rough surface skin texture, redness, and dryness.

This has a light essence like weight and texture. Sinks into quickly into the skin. It doesn’t have a distinct or overpowering smell and sinks in much quicker than the vitamin c. My skin reacts slower to niacinamide but since I’m older and wiser now, I have summoned the virtue of patience to really test this one. I have used this every night and compared to other niacinamide I’ve used, I saw its results in just about two weeks. My skin looked more even, clearer, and brighter. This, in conjunction with the C15 Super Booster, lightened my dark spots and firmed my skin. I also saw improvements on my skin texture, especially on my cheeks where my pores are enlarged and on the sides of my face.

The Hyaluronic Acid Booster ($36), meanwhile, aims to plump dry, dehydrated skin, soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, replenish moisture, and soothe the skin.

This has a gel texture that leaves a velvet finish to the skin. It immediately hydrates the skin leaving it soft and moist. It has a slightly tacky finish so I like using this in the evenings. This is incredibly helpful on days I exfoliate as this helps keep my skin from getting too dry or tight.

I have seriously enjoyed using these boosters and I wish they come in a bigger size. They have added to my love of hyaluronic acid, restored my faith on niacinamide and have introduced me to a vitamin c that suits my oily skin perfectly.
