The basis of the products from Sustainable Youth is Alasta® a blend of soothing, hydrating aloe vera gel and the brand’s patented extract from the rind of the Aloe Vera plant. It promises to provide firming, soothing, and hydrating benefits for youthful and radiant skin. Their products are also cruelty-free, made with organic, natural, and green ingredients, and are free of petrolatum, propylene glycol, and parabens.
The Ultra Creamy Cleansing Lotion ($42) also contains extracts of cucumber, white mulberry, green tea, licorice root, and fig to soothe and calm the skin and cocoa seed butter brighten and hydrate. This cleanser feels so gentle and relaxing on the skin. I like using this alone as it removes oil and light makeup but I would need a makeup remover if I have used waterproof or long-wearing products. It leaves the skin soft and moisturized once rinsed.
The Firming and Revitalizing Serum ($110) uses teas like white and green tea to soothe the skin and rooibos tea to firm and tighten the skin. It feels incredibly moisturizing and relaxing when applied. However, this is best used at night for my oily skin as it tends to leave a tacky feeling. However, this is useful to apply after using actives as it soothes and nourishes the skin. This also helps prevent my skin from looking dull and gray in the middle of the week.
The Anytime Lift Eye Treatment ($65) uses the same extract in their cleanser to soothe and calm, plant herbs to tighten, water-soluble vegetable proteins to hydrate and moisturize, and naturals gums and polymers to lift the eye area. Unfortunately, after a month of use, I have not seen its effects on lightening my undereye circles. However, this seemed to manage some smile lines and the lines under my eyes. They are not as noticeable when I apply makeup. My dry eyes also seem to like how moisturizing this is.
I would recommend these products to those looking for organic, green, and natural skincare products that will soothe and moisturize the skin while providing anti-aging benefits.
