Skincare Review: Be Plain Cicaful Ampoule and BHA Peeling Ampoule

K-Beauty brand Be Plain only has two products promising to resolve skin problems without harmful ingredients. These ampoules are supposed to be applied every day for the first week and less afterward. They have a calendar where you can note your progress, which I thought was really thoughtful.

The Cicaful Ampoule ($25.31) is a concentrated ampoule containing 84% centella asiatica to repair skin sensitivity, calm dullness, and blemishes.

This has a clear and viscous texture that sinks in quickly. I was actually surprised as to how light this is. The ampoules I’ve tried are heavier than this so I use this as I would a serum. I may have clearer skin now but I am still battling with some discoloration. The skin around my nose and cheeks is a bit red so this comes handy and this helped lessened the redness a bit. It also feels soothing to the skin. I followed the calendar they provided and after a month, I saw improvements in how my skin looked and felt. It now feels plump and smooth and it looks more even. I cannot wait to use this more to see a more noticeable difference.

The BHA Peeling Ampoule ($29.67) aims to exfoliate the skin, evens out the appearance its tone using BHA and green tea water.

This feels lighter than the cicaful ampoule and also as fast absorbing. It feels moisturizing to the skin. I like using this when I want to shorten my routine at night. After a month of use, I noticed a subtle difference which might be because my skin is used to stronger BHA percentages. It like applying this at night to my cheek area, where I’m at my most sensitive. This would suit those who want to try a BHA exfoliating serum as this is very gentle to the skin.
