Cult Favorite: Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream

I have heard so much about the Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream from Nature Republic. Everyone, their mothers, and even Korean politicians have praised this product. Some people claim it to be a miracle cream that will make your skin feel like a baby’s butt. For someone whose skin is undergoing the natural aging process, this is like music to my ears.

The watery cream promises to be an anti-aging, moisturizing, nourishing, and brightening cream for all skin types, especially aging skin. It contains 99% gold, red ginseng, golden silk cocoon from silkworm, royal jelly from Mr. Jiri extracted from honey. Note though that this cream also contains alcohol and silicon.

The luxurious packaging deserved a good place on my dresser. It’s so huge though that I was surprised at how little the product is inside, honestly. The product is only about 60% of the packaging. It also comes with a spatula to help scoop out the product. With the luxurious packaging comes an equally luxurious product. The clear gel texture of the #moisturizer has gold flecks in it, making you feel like an old world princess in her boudoir wearing a satin robe with your hair pinned by gold accouterments. It feels like it too. It’s lightweight but you can feel it enveloping your skin. This is great after exfoliating as it moisturizes and hydrates the skin. I like using this after a long routine because of its languid texture. It’s in a jelly consistency but it has some weight to it and leaves your face satin smooth. It takes a while to dry down. It feels almost like it’s sitting on top of your skin. For my oily skin, I will wake up with a slightly oily skin but not to the point that it’s greasy. You can just sill feel the product on your skin along with the natural oils that my skin has developed overnight. With its gentleness, the instant results are brightness, plumpness, and softness. I have yet to see its help in firming my skin and evening my complexion but after three months of use, this helped moisturize, nourish, brighten, and hydrate my skin. My skin might not feel like a baby’s butt but it definitely is softer and smoother than before I used this.
